Walt Kuklinksi

Dr. Walter Kuklinski leads McWade Group’s new technology and scientific practices. He has extensive research experience in Adaptive Sensor Control, Signal and Image Processing, Electromagnetics, Inverse Problems and Optimization Theory.

Dr. Kuklinski held the following academic appointments; Assistant Dean College of Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell, 1995-1998. Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell 1985-1998. Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 1982-1985. Assistant Professor, Bioengineering Division, Department of Industrial Engineering, Texas A & M University, 1979-1982. In these faculty positions Dr. Kuklinski was active in the development of real-time digital signal and image processing algorithms. He also developed sensor performance algorithms based on Fractal signal and image models.

From 1998 – 2023 Dr. Kuklinski was a Senior Principal Signal Processing Engineer with The MITRE Corporation. His primary responsibilities where to directed sensor signal processing and exploitation projects that involved a wide range of sensor modalities, along with activity in sensor data exploitation. He has managed direct funded projects in target recognition, foliage penetrating radar synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and adaptive sensor control, including the USAF multi-sensor MIST program and information theoretic based radar control methods in support of the US Missile Defense Agency studies. He also supported efforts in RF emitter characterization and location for both GPS and cellular communications applications.
